It's been almost two months since I've started to walk on my left foot. Physical therapy has not been too painful. The exercises are slowly getting more advanced, but I'm still not cleared to run or jump. However, I started a run/walk exercise that has me pulling the therapist around like I'm a horse. She said, "Hahaha, you look like a grandpa doing that." Well, I was hunched over and did come to therapy straight from work. She also told me that her husband playing World of Warcraft is ruining her marriage. She was probably kidding, but I think that's funny.
I've been going back to the gym to work on strengthening my legs. I'd use every cardiovascular machine there (eliptical, treadmill, bike, stairclimber). It's tough, but it's a babystep.
To spoil myself, I've been buying a lot of crap. From comic books every single Wednesday to electronics almost every other week, I just waste money. There are some comics I probably shouldn't buy because they end up being garbage by the end of the story. But, there are some I like. Here are some in no particular order:
This past Saturday I bought a pair of Stanton C. 304 CDJs. I still have to get used to them, but they will never replace my Numark TTX1s. When I bought those CDJs, I got a free acoustic guitar with them. I'll probably learn sometime, but now probably isn't that time.
So, I've been back to work for almost a month, walking on my left foot for two months, buying comics for about 19 months, and expanding my DJ equipment for almost 36 months. I feel like......I don't know. I need something else to do. I need another hobby to keep me in check because when I'm not, I'm an asshole. I don't want to be an asshole. Not anymore. |
